Tampa, Florida Governor's Hurricane Conference
Jim Lozier upon the invitation of the State of Florida Department of Insurance made a presentation using in part a video of the Hurricane Harness® roof tie-down system on the Town of Redington Shores, FL Municipal Garage.

There were approximately 60 representatives from the various property insurers in attendance.  We provided brochures that detailed our product and they were all snapped up.  Afterwards, we were complimented on how informative our video and presentation was.

Later in the day, a presentation was held at the Redington Shores municipal garage which will stay in place during the Hurricane Season (June 1st - November 30th) for all to view.

November 16, 2001:
Conway, South Carolina
A flood-damaged house 2 miles west of Myrtle Beach, was the site of a successful test of Hurricane Harness® roof tie-down system. The test was performed by the Civil Engineering Department of Clemson University led by a hurricane structure expert - Dr. Tim Reinhold.

An industrial crane was used to create the upward lift on the roof to simulate hurricane conditions. Our system outperformed all other systems being tested and withstood upward lift pressure in excess of what a Category 5 Hurricane could create.

The Clemson test was sponsored by:

* Federal Emergency Management Agency
* Florida Department of Community Affairs
* South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium
* State of South Carolina
* Institute for Business and Home Safety
* INEEL

Cooperating in the project:

* Florida International University
* University of Florida
